Puutarhafest on 30 August 2025
We will celebrate Espoo Day in the lush City Garden on Saturday 30 August 2025 from 10:00 to 22:00. The free family-friendly event is all about nature, live music and playful creativity.
The free family-friendly event is all about nature, live music and playful creativity. On the Puutarhafest stage, you will see Antti Autio (solo), Tuomas Skopa, Kasvu and Lelukavereiden Laulukerho.
The night will end with Iikka Kivi’s stand-up show Erityinen luontosuhde (not recommended for under 18-year-olds).
The programme also includes workshops, speakers and activities for people of all ages. Bring a picnic blanket and some food with you or check out what our food stands have to offer.
We recommend arriving by bicycle or public transport.
Bus route 163 will operate via Vanttila as route 163K between approx. 9:30am and 9:30pm, adding capacity for the whole area – especially for those traveling with strollers. In addition, HSL will provide extra evening departures on route 162, visible in the HSL Journey Planner.
In addition, a free Garden Bus runs from Kauklahti train station and Kivenlahti metro station near the event area. You can find more detailed information on how to get to the area here: Arriving to the event.
At the bike park in the area, you can also learn how to maintain your bike, and the Finnish Road Safety Council will guide you on safe and environmentally friendly travel.
In the workshops, you can, among other things, build your own insect hotel, plant flowers, and explore the City Garden area.
Puutarhafest is a safe event open to everyone. We want everyone to feel safe without fear of discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior.
If you experience or witness disturbing behavior, contact a safety officer wearing a yellow vest. If necessary, you can also go to the first aid point, where you can get help for both physical and mental well-being.
Come and enjoy the summer, culture and outdoor activities!
