Iikka Kivi
Erityinen luontosuhde encourages Finns to experience, cherish, and protect their own connection to nature, while asking how the descendants of bear hunters became electric scooter riders stressed out by barnacle geese. As tensions rise and dividing lines deepen, it’s important to remember that one thing is shared by us all: Finnish nature.
In this good-natured yet sharp performance, the stage is filled with a wide cast of Finnish creatures, from the dwindling willow tit to the rapidly multiplying summer cottage enthusiasts. Although the topic is serious and the state of nature alarming, the show does not focus on preaching or pointing fingers. Instead, it aims above all to inspire, find solutions, and encourage people to discover their own relationship with nature.
Iikka Kivi’s performance will take place at Puutarhafest in Espoo City Garden, Vanttila, on Saturday, August 30, from 7 PM to 9 PM. The two-hour show includes an intermission. The performance is in Finnish and not recommended for audiences under 18.
