Eloisa Espoo is heading out to the meadows again, with two open-to-all nature volunteering events in August. Grab a pair of gloves, meet fellow nature lovers, and act for our diverse nature!
Volunteering day in Tapiola on August 13th.
The first event will be held at the Olarinluoma meadow on Wednesday, August 13th, from 3 PM to 7 PM. Our focus will be on removing invasive solidago, whose spread simplifies the meadow ecosystem and harms the habitats of pollinators and traditional meadow species. When the plant life becomes richer, the entire ecosystem thrives. At the Olarinluoma event, you'll also get to do art! In the Adventure Art School's "Väribuffet" workshop, we'll make our own plant-based paints and create freely with them. The workshop is suitable for everyone – joy and success are guaranteed by the professional art teachers on site.
Volunteering day in Espoonlahti on August 20th.
The second event will take place at Soukanlahti Park on Tuesday, August 20th, from 4 PM to 7 PM. Here, too, we'll focus on pulling up soildago to support biodiversity. Due to the sensitive natural values of the Espoonlahti area, we kindly ask for advance registration at info@eloisaespoo.fi. We are also planning a little surprise program for the day – we'll share more with the participants soon!
All our events are free and suitable for all ages. Welcome!
Join us to do good for nature, experience a sense of community and late summer atmosphere. You can also join the Eloisa Espoo mailing list to be the first to hear about upcoming events, workshops, and actions for nature. The mailing list will also provide more detailed information on our volunteering events. Together we can achieve more – see you in the meadow!
